Selection Process After AFCAT Result

  • Following the completion of the registration procedure, applicants will be able to select their AFSB interview date and location.

Document Verification

Qualified applicants are invited to the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) assessment after passing the AFCAT written exam. Shortlisted candidates must bring the following documentation with them to the AFSB exam. The AFSB centre has a list of key papers required for the verification of candidates’ identities.

  • Original Matriculation/ Secondary School Certificate and Mark sheets
  • Original Marksheet & Certificate of 10+2
  • Original/ Provisional Graduation Degree
  • Two photocopies (attested) of each of the aforesaid certificates.
  • Original NCC Certificate as applicable
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from existing employers
  • Original valid Commercial Pilots’ Licence that is issued by DGCA as applicable
  • Twenty (20) copies of recent passport-size colour photographs

Stages Following AFCAT Results

  • A full list of applicants who qualified for the exam is being compiled.
  • Candidates who pass the exam are invited to additional rounds at Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB).
  • Qualified candidates must choose a location and download the AFSB Call letter.
  • The AFSB Interview consists of three phases.
  • The first stage is screening, often known as Phase 1 testing. It consists of an Officer Intelligence Rating Test as well as a Picture Perception and Discussion Test.
  • The second level is psychological testing, and the third stage is the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS), which is only for applicants in the Flying branch.
