| Lower Grade Shorthand Group B | Candidates must have completed the Secondary Exam. (AND) A person having a short typing speed of at least 100 words per minute, an English typing speed of at least 40 words per minute, a Marathi typing speed of at least 30 words per minute, or a qualifying Government Commercial Certificate. |
| Junior Scientific Assistant Group | Candidates must have a masters degree in Physics, Chemistry, Geology, or Agriculture/Chemistry. |
| Geological Support Group | Candidates must hold a Geology or Applied Geology degree or a postgraduate degree in Madhal Tay Shrana or a Geology degree in Applied Geology from the Indian Institute of Mining, Dhanbad, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the government. |
